Pope Francis: after the “Great Evil,” no to wars and persecutions

The past, with the obvious “pernicious effects to which hatred, prejudice and the untrammelled desire for dominion led in the last century,” should today induce all “to act with responsibility and wisdom to avoid the danger of a return to such horrors,” through dialogue and the “authentic quest for peace.” That was the reflection offered by Pope Francis at the presidential palace in Armenia, where he met with civil authorities and members of the diplomatic corps.
